PPYRC was founded by Sean Rice and his wife, Fie Rice. Due to the team’s excellent reputation, Coach Sean has been able to attract other highly regarded local coaching talent.

Philip Banks - Middle Distance/Distance Coach

  • A Curtis High School alumnus from Staten Island, Philip has always been a sports enthusiast, with a particular talent for middle-distance running. As a student, he was a top athlete, setting multiple school records. Despite stepping away from competitive running for a while, his passion was reignited when he introduced his two children to the sport through PPRYC.
  • After spending two years dedicatedly attending every practice and race, Philip officially joined the PPRYC coaching staff, where he has made a lasting impact. Known for his positivity and commitment to building confidence in every child, regardless of age or skill level, he makes a point to connect personally with each athlete in his training group. Since joining, Philip has been instrumental in developing specialized training sessions for middle-distance runners, consistently helping his team members improve and achieve new personal bests every season.

 Michael Bolling - Sprint Coach

  • Michael is a distinguished former collegiate athlete who competed in track and field for Clemson University from 2001 to 2005. As a key member of the Clemson Tigers, Michael specialized in sprints, particularly excelling in the 200m and 400m events. His tenure at Clemson was marked by numerous achievements, including multiple All-ACC selections and contributing to Clemson's dominance in ACC Championships during his time.

  • Michael's remarkable speed and competitive spirit earned him a spot in several NCAA Championships, where he consistently performed at the national level. One of his standout moments was anchoring Clemson's 4x400m relay team, leading them to a podium finish at the NCAA Championships. His leadership on and off the track was recognized by his teammates and coaches, making him a respected figure in Clemson's track and field history.

  • After graduating, Michael continued to channel his passion for athletics into his personal and professional life, using the discipline and work ethic he developed on the track to excel in various endeavors. Today, he remains connected to the sport, sharing his knowledge and experience with the next generation of athletes.

Chrysanne Carrington - Sprint Coach

  • "I view the world through a track lens - safe to say I love track!  My goal is to bolster the lives of all athletes through the paradigm of our sport.  In this pursuit, I meet every athlete at their level and coach them into becoming the best version of themselves, holistically. My rhapsody of inculcation to our athletes is 'success is for everyone, hydrate, word hard, and have FUN doing so!"
